I'm in disbelief that it's been more than three weeks since I've found a moment to sit down and write. During this time, I've said "farewell" to many bike group pals, my AirBnB family, and my friend Martha and her daughter Annika. I've also spent nearly a week at the hostel on the lake to play tourist in downtown Austin (and meet new faces), then enjoyed relaxing and tourist time with family in San Antonio.

Judy: Loved photo of the Japanese tea garden, what a unique use of a rock quarry. Your tiny tent while very pretty, not my cup of tea. Kind of liked that comfy spacious Texas tent.

Eileen: Thanks for visiting! Yes, the tea garden was quite a surprise & even on a hot day, cooler! Loving my new tent that is designed well, feels quite spacious, and with a zippered fly, feels safer! This is a cheap tent, but a test before I to to a 1-person tent when I leave the US of A! J
