Today was a planned transition day with a return to my tent at Sebastian Inlet State Park (my other home away from home). That said, Mother Nature is keeping me in place. The weather for next week (3 hours north of here) is 40s - 60s; sorry that is too cool, baby. Booked another week at the Lauderdale hostel and revisiting travel notions in a few days.
I've had the pleasure of seeing three good friends this past week AND enjoying Thai food, not once, but twice. I also had a marathon walk (11+ miles) followed by lunch with a gal pal at The Floridian. This little gem has held on since 1937 and serves whatever you want 24/7 --- I enjoyed my first reuben of 2015 here! Heading to Lauderdale? Check out "The Flo" http://thefloridiandiner.com/about-the-flo/ I'm quite enjoying the coming and going of people at the hostel; sometimes in both directions :). It's a small U.N. of people living in, or recently from Poland, Hungary, Germany, France, the UK, Switzerland, Macedonia, Brazil, Cuba, and more. There's a lot more short term visitors this year than last (days vs. weeks) but still a wide age range of friendly folks. I keep thinking I have to do something besides enjoy myself but why is that? I did work 3 hours this week! Not pushing myself in any direction till further notice.
